Owners of this Traverse City based restaurant chain are friends with the good folks at Julian Pie Company of San Diego fame. Which means you get the nations best cherry AND apple pies.... and don't overlook the strawberry rhubarb... my personal favorite!! Good sandwich and salad menu here as well. Good soups, salads, warps and sandwiches. We had the mac and cheese which was creamy and delicious. I really liked the bread crumb topping. Also had the egg salad sandwich which was great. Some rude customers made the experience not as good, but nothing the restaurant could do about that. We finished with some pie for desert which was heated up and tasted wonderful.
Love the pies. Blueberry applesauce was great option for toddlers. UP Pasty was good and filling was husband approved.
We carry out lunch from here often. Of course they have great deserts but also good salads, sandwiches, pot pies, etc. Can be quite buwsy at lunch time but the line moves quickly and the folks are friendly.
Called this morning and asked for a gluten-free pie. They had already sold two so they didn't have any. They said they could make us one by 1 PM, we said oh no that won't work we need it by 11 AM. They paused for one second and said, we can do that for you. Not only did they accommodate us the same day for a picnic on the water, but it was an awesome gluten-free cherry pie. Thanks so much!
