This is our 6th time here and stay 2 nights. The rooms have always been decorated so nice for the era it portrays. Our king bed in 314 was very comfortable and I stayed in the whirlpool bath for almost an hr. I saw that they were putting another memory foam bed down the hall today. Going to consider that room next time . Belinda was very polite and stayed up for us till we arrived here at 9:45 last night. I love visiting the area and is well worth the 3 hr drive here. Dinner reservations at the 1911 restaurant was a 5 star also. The 3 course walleye was incredible with live dinner music. This place gets better every time we stay here. WE WILL be back again.*****
All in all a good experience and a great place to stay.
A very nice old hotel. The rooms are all different. I have stayed here twice, once during a motorcycle trip and once passing through with my wife. On the stay with my wife we had a suite and it was a large room and very nice.
We ate in the 1911 restaunt when I stayed with my wife and the food was excellent.
Belinda is the best. Great getaway. Close to downtown Petoskey. Restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. Don't need to be a guest to eat here. Bar has great scotch and cocktails. Building itself is old, so keep that in mind and you'll have a great time.
I indulged in cocktails during both stays and they were well made and very good.
Had a wonderful time here. Great location and quite. I loved walking around in the neighborhoods and down to the beach. Great breakfast and wonderful staff that were so nice and helpful. The only complaint I have is about the parking. There are no real parking spaces available. Guest have to park on the street in front of other people’s houses. The first night we arrived was crazy for parking because it was fourth of July weekend and the hotel was completely booked. We didn’t let it bother us too much, it is what it is. Still a great place to go and I would go back again.
The beds are good quality and comfortable. A good place to stay if you enjoy, as I do, the feeling of a vintage building.
Absolutely adorable, restored inn. Decor is great and the owners have done a wonderful job maintaining the feel of the early 20th century. Staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was really nice and hearty, especially good before a long day on the slopes. Only bad thing is that the walls are so paper thin that they may as well not exist. Had to ask housekeeping to move the beds away from walls because any movement made it sound like the walls were going to break down. Can hear any TV or conversation from the other side. Not good for light sleepers.
