I bought my new addition to my family here. I really enjoyed all of the animals they have. I felt that the animals were being taken care of as one of their own pets. I like that the animals were not in over heated glass cages ( not talking about the fish lol). The animals were not showing any signs of stress. I enjoyed the knowledge that they had for the animals . Its a business so they are trying to make money but they were not forcing me to buy the most expensive things. I enjoyed the options. I will drive the hour again and again to come here.
Sad, crowded conditions for their critters and all of my experiences with new management have been nothing short of disappointing. People come in to add another member of their family but to the shop, these creatures are treated and referred to as "livestock." The manager was so dismissive about questions folks were asking him before bringing home their new pet - clearly he just wanted to get the transaction over with as quickly as possible. I had questions and concerns regarding the sniffly, sneezing rats they had living in tiny tanks with WOOD SHAVINGS as bedding and the guy actually walked away from me as I was speaking. You'd think a pet store that cared for their animals would know when they're making their own "stock" sick. Whenever possible, ADOPT - don't shop.
I have always loved this store since it was on Mitchell street so many years ago. I buy all of my fish and supply's from them and since the store has been under new management the care for the animals has become so great. Definitely recommend checking them out even if it's just to see some cool animals
This is an amazing store. The animals are treated very nicely and the service is awesome. The employees are always really nice and pretty cool. I love this store so much. Thank you. I wish you good luck with your business.
I had TWO small rodents die from upper repritory issues weeks after purchasing them there (the sickness already being there when I bought them but undetectable until later, both taken to the vet to get antibiotics and help). I bought my first rat there when I was younger and had no problem with it but after they moved and over to a new manegment, I have never had luck with their animals. I know employees (and past employees) that agree and discuss the fact that the cages for the birds, rodents, and reptiles are badly circulated and not well kept for the animals well being. Would not recommend for buying any animals from here.
