We stayed here for one night and did not expect much. For a Days Inn it was pretty good. The rooms have been renovated somewhat recently. We had a 2 queen standard room and as an added bonus our 1 year olds pack and play fit neatly into the luggage area across from the sink. This left a wall between us and her and made sleeping much better.
One of the nicest things about the stay was that all of the staff I encountered were very helpful. From the front desk to the breakfast room employees everyone was doing their job and more than happy to help if they could.
I stayed two nights at The Days Inn The rooms are nice and clean. However, yesterday we came back from the gun range, and found out that our room had not been clean. I wasn't mad, I stated that maybe the house keeper was just running behind. Therefore, I left and went to my friends wedding got back to my room, and still did not have a clean room or towels. When I reported this incident to the manager. The manager stated that the housekeeper was told by me not to clean the room. If I in fact told the housekeeper not to clean the room why would I be having this conversion with you about a dirty room, and not having towels? So, I told the manager I don't like to be lied on. The manager stated she doses not like to think her employee lied. The manager said the housekeeper describe me to her, I would have own up to it but, we are the only black people in this hotel and I was in the lobby on my phone talking to a Lawyer. Nevertheless, I am writing this review because, I spoke with the manager who was rude and supporting of a worker who clearly did not do the job. What has customer service come to?
Room was very clean and comfortable. Front desk people are the best I've ever interacted with in all my travels. I had an emergency situation where my wallet was lost during my drive up. They were so accommodating and helped in the process of finding my wallet. Only complaint I might have is that there wasn't much parking available. But being it was winter, it's somewhat understandable.
The only negative of the whole experience is the heater in the room. It keeps the room warm but in the cold weather it kicked on and off almost every 3-4 min. If there was a way to leave the fan running it would not have been near as annoying. I actually turned it off at one point and a freezer protection setting still kicked it on every few min.
Lobbie is nice. Room seems recently remodeled and was clean. Breakfast area is pretty small for the size of hotel. Halls and stairwells need some serious cleaning at the least and really need to be remodeled. Hot tube was dirty but pool looks clean. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and willing to go the extra mile. They ARE the reason I didn't rate this hotel lower than 3 stars.
I will likely stay at this property again in the future if I am in the area and looking for a low-mid priced hotel.
Excellent value. The room was clean and well maintained and the complimentary breakfast was very good. The free stretch limo to our evening destination was awesome! Great place to stay and relax. We'll definitely be back!
